Your students pay nothing: on the SMART FRET Teacher plan you invite them with free seats – five are included, more can be added. They keep practising your material between lessons – which strengthens retention and sets you apart from teachers still working with paper and a webcam.

SMART FRET is built for guitar, bass and piano – with fretboard or keyboard view, tabs and notation. Chords, scales, modes and pentatonics can be understood directly on the instrument, instead of just memorising shapes.

SMART FRET is available in German, English and Slovenian. The feature set is identical in all three. Screenshots and videos on this site show the English interface; the tutorial videos are recorded in English, with German subtitles available in the player.

SMART FRET starts with 7 days of Pro – free, no credit card. Then pick your plan: Pro (€99/yr) for solo players & creators, Teacher (€299/yr) for teaching incl. student seats, or Academy (from €890/yr) for music schools. Without an account at all you can still follow along in a limited way via shared links.

Paid SMART FRET plans are billed annually. The 7-day Pro trial expires automatically if you don’t upgrade – with no charge. After that, paid plans are billed annually (12 months) and renew automatically for a further 12 months unless you cancel before the end of the term. You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current term.
